Our friends at Zoom Multisport Racing asked us to share. There are still open spots -- including the 1/3 iron distance -- for this weekend's Cowan Lake race. If you're bummed about missing the swim at Mingoman, here's a chance to get your OWS on in a race. (The water looks nice.)
The race is a little over an hour away from Columbus, southwest of the city. COTC members get a 10% discount on Zoom events!
OWS at Alum tonight starting at 6:30. (If you can't get there until 7, don't let that stop you.) Weather should be fantastic and the water is likely to be around 72-73 by swim time. Meet between the 5 and 6 signs. And...here's your water temp report: https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site_no=03228805.
Don't forget that coach and board member Rick Strater will be doing a transition clinic at the beginning of the swim for anyone interested. Club President Sean Costello managed to spend 2 minutes and 43 seconds in transition at yesterday's Mingoman Duathlon, and all he had to do was change shoes and put on a helmet, so he may need to put down the clipboard and listen to Rick.
